Train the Trainer

CNA/CMT INSTRUCTOR, STATE EXAMINER

This two day class prepares the Missouri RN to teach Certified Nurse Assistant and Certified Medication Technician classes as well as be State Examiners. Applicants must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri, have 1 year of experience in long-term care within the past 5 years or currently working in long-term care, and have a letter of approval from the MO Department of Health and Senior Services.

Participants learn how to teach and complete required paperwork for instructing nursing assistants. Second day includes CMT instruction.

CLINICAL SUPERVISOR TRAINING

This one day class teaches MO RNs and LPNs to be Clinical Supervisors for nursing assistants. This workshop is required by the MO Department of Health and Senior Services to supervise CNA students in the clinical setting. To be eligible, participants must have 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility within the last 5 years or are currently working in a long-term care.

Participants will learn how to properly guide and instruct nursing assistant students, how to conduct a clinical, required documentation, as well as other pertinent topics. 

MEDS is a state of Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) approved training site for certification programs.
